Bacchus Marathon/Half Marathon this Sunday

Hi all! Just a quick reminder that if you’re running the Bacchus Marathon or Half Marathon this coming Sunday (10th September) at Denbies Vineyard — or if you’re just coming down to cheer on your friends and family — or if you just fancy a nice morning out in the Surrey countryside, we’ll be there for you!

We’re going to be set up at Water Station 2, which is just before the half-way mark on the course (between miles 5 and 6 — the marathon runners go twice round). But not only does it serve water to the runners — it serves wine to the spectators! (And probably to the runners if they really want it, although I’m not sure getting plastered and running long distances go well together.) EDIT: no, apparently the runners are getting plastered as well! More power to their… er, legs. And elbows.

Should you wish to stop by, the best postcode we have is RH4 3LW, for Coomb Farm; we’ll be set up close by. There’s no charge for spectators.
